Basket (trybasket.com) was a UK-based wishlist app that was launched in 2021 by Intent Technologies Ltd. It was discontinued in May 2026, and users were initially asked to move to a virtual try-on app called WNTD (www.wntd.ai).
However, a few months later, in Aug 2026, WNTD users received an email saying WNTD was no longer supported. Now in September, WNTD’s website says: "WNTD is changing hands", but no app can be found in the App Store.

WNTD was launched by the makers of Basket (Intent Technologies Ltd) on May 7th 2026. It retained some wishlist functionality, but leaned much more into AI virtual try-on and styling features that 'Basket 2.0’ had been experimenting with in late 2025.
WNTD described itself as an AI-powered platform for fashion discovery, virtual try-on and social shopping. It became a much more sprawling app, including features like an AI stylist that analysed your colours, hair, face and body shape, a closet builder, and lots of virtual try-on features that allowed you to try on clothes and change your look based on images you uploaded.
What happened? Why did Basket and WNTD stop working?
As of September 25th 2026, niether the WNTD nor Basket apps are available on the App Store.
Basket was discontinued in May 2026 and initially replaced by WNTD. Users were given plenty of pre-warning that this was going to happen. However, the disappearance of WNTD came as more of a surprise.
An email was sent to WNTD users in August 2026 stating that “there won't be any support or updates to the app, so please don't rely on it for anything important.” However, it did not explain the exact reason for shutting down. Now their site says that WNTD is “changing hands”, and another site has been listed marketing yet another solution. However, when I click the link to the App Store it currently says "The page you are looking for cannot be found".
How does this affect my WNTD/Basket list?
I can no longer save items to WNTD or Basket. When I visited the WNTD app in September 2026, the items I had previously saved to my wishlist had also disappeared. Basket previously had an option available to export saved items to CSV, but this is no longer available.
It is currently unclear if items saved to WNTD might be recovered in future. The guidance from the company is "please don't rely on it for anything important."
